Assisi Palio St Rufino

The Palio takes place on the last Thursday, Friday and Saturday of August and is a traditional competition between the city's three Terzieri factions San Francesco, San Rufino and Santa Maria.

They compete every year for the precious "Drappo", painted by a local artist.

There are processions in historical costume, celebrations and banquets.
