FREE MIND TOUR

Where we will organize everything for you and accompany you when necessary. If you prefer to do something on your own or organize it by yourself, no problem! We will anyway give you info and maps!

Day 1
We will pick you up at Perugia train station or airport and bring you to a country house near Perugia, where you will have an Italian dinner and chat with an English speaking Italian family.

Day 2
We will bring you to a wine cellar to taste red and white wines (if possible, we  will visit the old vineyards and olives groves).
Later we will reach the  Trasimeno Lake and visit the old village of Castiglione del Lago, built on a rock  overlooking the lake.
Free lunch in Castiglione where there are good restaurants, enoteques and small shops where you can ask for  a board of cheeses and salumi, accompanied by a glass of red wine.

While going back, we can stop at Mugnano, called the village with the painted walls as several artists draw on  the walls of the houses of the village interesting paintings and drawings.

Day 3
In the morning you will visit Assisi, accompanied by an English speaking guide. Free lunch and a further visit to the Eremo delle carceri and then visit Spello.

Day 4
The 4th day will be dedicated to visit Perugia, a wonderful medieval city. Free lunch in the city and a further visit in the afternoon (if you like it and if it is available) we can organize a visit to the Perugina factory, have a look  on how chocolate bombons are prepared and taste some chocolate.

Day 5
Visit to the farmers market in Perugia. Cheese tasting and visit to Bevagna and Montefalco. Wine tasting.

Day 6
Visit to Gubbio.
We will visit the city of Gubbio, well known for  its cultural heritage and for the “Corsa dei ceri” an historical event  held on the 15 May each year.
In the afternoon we will have a hands on cooking course and prepare a typical Italian dinner, with antipasti, primo piatto, secondo piatto and dessert.
Then, we will have dinner eating what we prepared.

Day 7
Visit Orvieto, free lunch.
The tour will end in Orvieto, where we will admire the stunning Dome, with more than 1200 caves. We will then enjoy the wine tasting.

Day 8
Transfer to the Perugia airport or train station.
